How the referral program works

The Fynbos referral program rewards you for sharing Fynbos with people you know. When someone signs up using your unique referral link and invests, you both receive a R200 boost deposited into your Cash accounts.

• Earn R200: You receive R200 when your friend invests at least R1,000

• Give R200: Your friend also receives R200 as a welcome boost

• No limit: Refer as many friends as you like

The referral program is available to users who have been investing with Fynbos for at least 30 days and have invested R1,000 or more.

Finding your referral link

Your unique referral link is available in your Settings. This link is personalised to your account and tracks everyone you refer.

1. Tap your profile icon in the top right corner of the home screen

2. Scroll down and tap Refer a friend

3. Your unique referral link appears under Unique code

Your link follows the format fynbos.money/join/yourname1234 where the code includes your name and a unique identifier.

Sharing your referral link

You can copy your link to paste it anywhere, or use your device's share menu to send it directly to friends.

1. Navigate to Refer a friend in your Settings

2. Tap your referral link to open sharing options

3. Choose to Copy the link or Share it via your preferred app

When you share the link, the suggested message reads: "Sign up for Fynbos and get a R200 boost when you make your first investment."

Tip: Share your link via WhatsApp, email, or social media. The more people who sign up and invest, the more you earn.

What your friend needs to do

For you to receive your R200 boost, your friend must complete these steps within 60 days of signing up:

1. Sign up using your referral link

2. Complete identity verification

3. Transfer at least R1,000 to an investment account (Emergency Savings, Tax-Free Savings, Savings pots, or another investment account)

Once they invest R1,000, both you and your friend receive the R200 boost in your Cash accounts.

Tracking your referrals

You can see the status of everyone you've referred from the same screen where you find your referral link.

1. Go to Settings and tap Refer a friend

2. Scroll down to see your list of referrals

Each referral shows the person's name and their current status:

When you'll receive your boost

Boosts are processed automatically once your friend invests R1,000. The R200 appears in your Cash account, typically within a few business days of your friend meeting the investment requirement.

You'll receive a notification when your boost is paid out. You can then transfer the funds to any of your accounts or withdraw it.
