Background
Fynbos Money is the presenting sponsor of SkyRun's 30th edition. To celebrate, we're running competitions on Instagram for the SkyRun community
The rules below govern each competition on this page.
Who can enter
Each competition is open to South African residents aged 18 or older.
Employees, directors and agents of Fynbos, Life Current, SkyRun and Gonzo can't enter. Neither can their immediate families.
Entering is free. You don't need to buy anything or be a Fynbos customer.
Your Instagram account must be real and your own. We need to be able to see that you follow the accounts listed in the entry steps.
SkyRun x Fynbos competition: R 2 500 to invest
Entry period: opens when the competition post goes live on Instagram. Closes at 23:59 on Tuesday 3 November 2026.
How to enter: follow @skyrunza and @fynbosmoney on Instagram, like the competition post, and tag a friend in the comments. One tag per comment. You can comment as many times as you like, and each comment with a tag counts as one entry.
How the winner is chosen: one winner is picked by random draw from all valid entries after entries close.
Announcement: the winner is announced on Instagram on Friday 6 November 2026.
The prize: R 2 500 invested with Fynbos Money, plus one year of the Fynbos subscription free. The winner chooses where the R 2 500 goes: Tax-free investments, Emergency savings, a retirement annuity or a Kids account.
How the prize is paid: we pay the R 2 500 into the winner’s Fynbos Money account. If the winner chooses a Kids account, it goes into a Kids account they open for their child. The winner needs to open the account and complete our normal verification first. Once the money is in the account, that account’s usual rules apply.
After the free year: the subscription costs R 100 a month (R 50 a month if you’re under 30). We’ll remind you before your first paid month and you can cancel anytime. A Tax-free investments or Emergency savings account on its own stays free.
Using the prize: the prize can’t be transferred to someone else or exchanged for cash.
Investment value can go up or down.
Gonzo x Fynbos giveaway: two SkyRun race entries (CLOSED)
Entry period: opens when the giveaway post goes live on Instagram. Closed at 23:59 on Thursday 8 October 2026.
How to enter: follow @fynbosmoney, @gonzoruns and @skyrun on Instagram. Then comment on the giveaway post, tagging the friend you'd run with and telling us why it should be the two of you.
How the winners are chosen: the Gonzo team picks the entry they find most compelling. This isn't a random draw, and the Gonzo team's decision is final.
The winners: the person who entered and the friend they tagged each win one race entry.
Announcement: winners are announced on Instagram on Monday 12 October 2026.
The prize: two entries to SkyRun 2026, on 14 and 15 November 2026 in the Witteberg near Lady Grey. Each winner chooses their distance: 38km, 65km or 100km.
What's not included: travel, accommodation, food, kit, and anything else you need to get to and take part in the race.
Race requirements: winners must meet SkyRun's entry requirements and race rules for their chosen distance, including the mandatory kit list.
Using the entries: the entries are for SkyRun 2026 only. They can't be transferred, deferred to another year or exchanged for cash.
How we contact winners
We'll message winners on Instagram from our official @fynbosmoney account
We'll never ask for your password, bank details or a payment to claim a prize. If someone does, it isn't us.
If a winner doesn't reply within 48 hours, or doesn't meet these rules, we'll choose another winner in the same way.
Publicity
By entering, winners agree that we can share their name and Instagram handle when we announce the result.
That includes Fynbos, Gonzo and SkyRun social media and the SkyRun newsletter.
Your personal information
We only use your personal information to run the giveaway, contact winners and deliver prizes.
We handle it in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and our privacy policy.
General
Instagram doesn't sponsor, endorse or run these competitions, and isn't associated with it in any way.
We may disqualify entries that break these rules, use fake or multiple accounts, spam, or are offensive.
If something outside our control affects the competition, we may change or end it. If we do, we'll update this page.
Our decision on the winners is final.
Taking part in SkyRun is at your own risk and subject to SkyRun's own race rules and indemnity.
