Alexa Godden

South African sprint kayaker and LA Olympic Games 2028 hopeful.

Alexa Godden is a South African kayaker working towards qualifying for the LA 2028 Olympic Games. She has represented South Africa at four World Championships and an Olympic Hopes Regatta, and has earned a silver medal at an international regatta.

After matriculating from St Stithians Girls’ College, Alexa began studying towards a Bachelor of Business Science through the University of London, balancing her academic goals alongside elite sport.

Fynbos plays an important role in her Olympic journey, helping her build a dedicated savings pot so she can focus on training while working towards LA 2028.

Tash van Greunen

South African professional surfer competing on the WSL.

Tash van Greunen is a South African surfer from Cape Town who has represented South Africa at the ISA World Surfing Games and competes on the World Surf League Qualifying and Challenger Series.

Alongside competing, she completed a BSc in Environmental Management and founded Her Surf Spirit, a surf brand focused on empowering girls and women through coaching, camps and events.

Tash is working towards qualifying for the LA 2028 Olympics. Fynbos helps her plan for that journey, giving her the freedom to focus on training while preparing for future opportunities.

Max Smart

South African rally driver defying the odds in the Junior World Rally Championship.

Max Smart is a South African rally driver competing in the Spanish Gravel Championship after making his mark in the Junior World Rally Championship.

Originally passionate about motocross, Max discovered rallying through the FIA Rally Star young driver talent search, earning his place by winning the African final. That opportunity launched his rally career in Europe, where he learned to compete across snow, gravel and tarmac against some of the world's best young drivers.

His determination has already delivered two World Championship podiums and a stage win on ice in Sweden. Fynbos helps him plan for the future while pursuing his racing ambitions.

Nick Hatton

Professional rugby player championing better financial habits on and off the field.

Nick Hatton is a professional rugby player for the Hollywoodbets Sharks and one of South African rugby’s emerging young leaders.

A dynamic loose forward, Nick captained the Sharks XV in the 2024 and 2025 Currie Cup, helping the team secure the 2024 title. He has represented the Sharks in both domestic and international competitions, including the Investec Champions Cup and United Rugby Championship. Leadership has been a defining part of his journey, having previously captained Hilton College’s First XV and served as Head of School.

Alongside rugby, Nick is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Finance. Fynbos supports his commitment to building better financial habits and creating long-term wealth.
